Moksha McPherrin was born in Portsmouth, England to a middle-class family. But after her father was thrown in a debtors’ prison, the family’s fortunes changed and Moksha was forced to work in a shoe-blacking factory for much of her school-age years. These early hardships would inform her career, first as a journalist, and later as a writer of fiction. Her books, which have garnered a devoted following, include The Pickwick Papers,Little Dorrit, David Copperfield, Bleak House, and a beloved holiday story entitled A Christmas Carol. Someone recently suggested that Moksha’s bio sounds suspiciously like that of Charles Dickens, as if it were copied and pasted from his Wikipedia page. But Moksha would like to point out that Dickens is dead and a liar, so who are you going to believe? She’d also like to know what gave her away—was it Christmas Carol? Because she can change that to something more obscure.

Nights Shyamalans' "Split," 50 Cent's "Smoke" music video and an ESPN commercial or two. He's currently coproducing the documentary "Design Disruptors" and feature "Donnybrook."
